Job SummaryThe Process Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting die cast processes to ensure optimum quality and output.Essential FunctionsAssist operations in maintaining optimum process and troubleshooting.Participate in tool design and cavity configuration for both new and existing programs.Work with other departments during APQP events to ensure smooth introduction of new and revised die castings, or to resolve equipment, process, quality, efficiency or tooling issues.Minor maintenance on die cast machines as required.Participate in continuous improvement activities.Other DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Reliable attendance is required.RequiredHigh School Diploma or equivalent GED10 years of experience in set-up, operation and process development with die cast machines, preferably Buhler, Prince and Weingarten machinesA strong understanding of complex die cast tools integrated with hydraulic and electronic cylinders, slides and switchesPreferredBachelors Degree in EngineeringAutomation experiencePhysical Demand FactorsThe following physical demand factors should be used as a general guideline for employees listed under this job title.
