Job Description:

The University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida is seeking an Assistant Professor for the Department of Sociology and Criminology & Law. Duties and responsibilities include of teaching, research, and service. Teaching duties include teaching undergraduate and/or graduate level Sociology or related courses, such as Social Network Analysis (SYA4930), Introduction to Computational Social Science (SYA4930), and Medical Sociology (SYO4400). Research duties involve studying Intergenerational Transfers after Retirement; Statistical Analyses of Genealogical data Interrelationships Among Aging; Social Networks and Political Behaviors; and Social Network Analysis of the Wisconsin Longitudinal Study.

Working from home/telecommuting is permitted.

Minimum Requirements:

Position requires a Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in Sociology, Criminology, or a closely related field.
