Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is recruiting a full-time, non-tenure accruing Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Periodontology. The University of Florida College of Dentistry (UFCD) is one of the leading dental schools in the United States devoted to improving and promoting oral health throughout Florida, the nation and worldwide through excellence in teaching, research, patient care and service.

Responsibilities for this position will center on pre-doctoral and graduate level didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction, participation in intramural faculty practice, and include opportunities for research collaboration.

The University of Florida (UF), a member of the AAU, is the largest and most comprehensive public university in the state of Florida, with large undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate educational programs. The UF Health Science Center and its six colleges (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Health Professions, Veterinary Medicine) are co-located on the Gainesville campus, with additional teaching, research, and patient care sites throughout Florida, and beyond.

Minimum Requirements:

Minimum requirements include:

  • DDS, DMD or equivalent degree.

  • Advanced training in Periodontology from a CODA-accredited postgraduate program.

  • Board eligibility or board certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications include:

  • Previous teaching experience of predoctoral and advanced education in periodontology.

  • Conscious sedation certification

  • Training and experience in oral implantology, advanced surgical techniques
