Job Description:
This position will serve as a Data Management Analyst position focused on ETL support as part of the Integrated Data Repository (IDR) research services team but aligned with the Data Warehouse team.
This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the data warehouse architecture that supports the organization’s data analytics and reporting needs. The candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure the integrity, efficiency, and security of our data warehouse while staying abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies.

The Integrated Data Repository (IDR) is a team of data and information technology personnel, working with our institutional clinical data warehouse that combines data from across UF Health to aid clinical, operational, and research decision making. The IDR research services team is focused on partnering with cutting-edge research teams and delivering high-quality data in support of research.
Duties Include:
Design and Implementation
Design and develop scalable and efficient data warehouse solutions to meet the organizations’ business requirements. Includes creation and maintenance of data models that support both operational and analytical needs.
Implement ETL processes for the integration of data from diverse sources into the data warehouse ensuring data integrity and reliability.
Analysis and Documentation
Conduct regular assessments of data quality and implement measures to address any discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and contribute to the development of data models
Lead discussions with business users to gather and analyze data needs, translating them into technical specifications
Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive data with the data warehouse
Ensure compliance with data protection regulations
Establish monitoring processes to proactively identify and address issues related to data warehouse performance
Document data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and data dictionaries
Proactively identify opportunities for improvements in data warehouse efficiency, scalability, and performance
Expected Salary:
$70,000 - $80,000
Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in an appropriate area and two years of relevant experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area and four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or in a similar role.
Experience with ETL tools and processes
Solid understanding of data modeling principles.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
Strong proficiency in SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle).
Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation tasks
Solid understanding of data security and compliance considerations.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
