Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Manager in Garland, Texas. In this role, you will be part of a manufacturing environment where you will manage the accounts payable processes and engage cross-functionally with other teams. You will be responsible for overseeing daily payables, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and process routine department activities such as invoice and payment processing to ensure accuracy and timely completion

• Handle internal and external wire transfers, utility invoices, and manual checks

• Act as the primary contact for vendor inquiries and maintain positive vendor relationships

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports through analyses of accounts

• Audit and process credit card bills, providing support for month-end and year-end closing processes

• Coordinate necessary year-end projects, including 1099 reporting and audits

• Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies

• Build and maintain relationships across the organization for efficient cross-functional collaboration

• Assist in setting and facilitating the achievement of department objectives

• Develop and enforce policies and department controls to increase accuracy and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager or in a similar role.

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, is required.

• Familiarity with D365

• Experience with Approved Invoices

• Experience with Process Documentation.
