Hampton Inn Multiple Openings in Gaylord, Michigan

Hampton Inn of Gaylord is seeking to fill Multiple positions. Openings include Housekeeping, Breakfast Attendant and Front Desk.

Front Desk is 3pm to 11pm shifts. Some Duties Include:

  • Accommodate hotel patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests
  • Issuing room keys or cards
  • Transmitting and receiving messages
  • Keeping records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts
  • Making and confirming reservations
  • Presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests

*Housekeeping *Some Duties Include:

  • Carry linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts.
  • Disinfect equipment and supplies, using germicides or steam-operated sterilizers.
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas so that health standards are met.
  • Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas.
  • Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors.
  • Replenish supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items.
  • Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies, using vacuum cleaners and shampooers.
  • Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
  • Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy.
  • Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing and polishing as necessary.

Breakfast Attendant is 6am to 12:30pm shift Some Duties include:

  • Responsible for the set up, service and breakdown/clean up of the breakfast buffet.
  • Prepare food with compliance to food safety standards.
  • Greet guests and assist guests with breakfast needs.
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of hotel food information.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests and resolve issues in a timely; friendly and efficient manner.
  • Field guest complaints, conduct research, resolve and negotiate solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent customer service and organizational skills.
