We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join the Ring team and support the development of new and existing products. We value your passion to discover, invent, simplify and build.

Key job responsibilities

As a Senior Embedded Software Engineer, you will be a core member of the platform software team, developing Ring's next generation of Camera centric devices. Ideal candidate would be passionate about building IOT products. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

• Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

• Experience in professional, non-internship software development

• Experience in embedded development in C/C+* Experience in embedded development in the last 3 years

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.

• Extensive experience in computer architecture and embedded systems with C/C++ and familiarity including SoC and embedded CPU.

• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences.

• Understanding of service-oriented architecture and web services security.
