POSITION SUMMARY:
The Fixed Assets and Grants General Accountant serves as the primary accountant for fixed asset recording, tracking, and reconciliation. The fixed asset accounting duties include but are not limited to recording of newly acquired fixed assets, tracking existing fixed assets, recording depreciation, and accounting for the disposition of fixed assets. This position also serves as the primary focal point of the Health System’s grants and contracts accounting. The grant accounting duties may include but not limited to reviewing grant proposals, invoicing and reviewing grant expenditures, reconciling and researching, and ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and other agencies for billing and timely reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Minimum:
Bachelor’s Degree in the field of business or related field
Preferred:
Degree in the field of accounting
LICENSE:
PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATIONS:
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Two years experience in accounting and/or financial reporting
Preferred:
Fixed Asset Experience / Healthcare Experience
SKILLS:
Minimum:
Must have computer experience, including spreadsheet applications.
Preferred:
Experience with Microsoft Office products including word, excel and power point.
Salary Range: $64,000.00-$78,800.00
