Diageo is embarking on a substantial digital transformation of its Supply Chain & Procurement operations.

This multiyear Digital Supply Chain (DSC) programme will deliver significant financial and operation benefits to the business across Supply, Marketing and Indirects Productivity, as well as Cash through inventory reduction. This programme will step change the way we work across Supply Chain & Procurement, unlocking the digital potential of our people and operations across the globe.

The Digital Learning Programme Specialist will play a critical role in shaping the digital skills learning roadmap of our DSC project. Collaborating closely with stakeholders across Supply Chain & Procurement, considering what skills are required and designing suitable learning pathways to build skills and drive initiatives that enhance employee skills, knowledge, and performance.

Purpose of Role:

The main focus of this role is to lead the deployment and delivery of our Digital Skills Build Strategy across Supply Chain & Procurement, and to provide deep L&D partnering to drive digital skill building.

The role supports identification and prioritisation of digital skills across our Supply Chain & Procurement functions and develops roadmaps to support upskilling that complements our digital transformation. Supporting our build, buy, borrow approach to ensure that we have the right skills in our organisation to drive transformational change.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Owning & implementing the build aspect of our Digital Skills Strategy

  • Owning our digital skills honeycomb and ensuring it is refreshed to match the skills requirements for the DSC project

  • Leverage analysis, and insights, to define strategy in skill (core and emerging) for all learning programmes - both internal and external, including the development of goals, objectives, targets, and key performance metrics

  • In partnership, conduct thorough needs assessments to identify skill gaps and learning requirements within Supply Chain & Procurement

  • Build a long-term roadmap that maps out our digital skills journey to support our overall Digital Supply Chain transformation. Create customised learning pathways that cater to different roles within the function, with a focus on upskilling in relation the digital transformation

  • Partner with internal SMEs and vendors to produce engaging learning solutions. Leveraging a variety of learning modalities

  • Evaluate the impact of learning initiatives on employee performance and business outcomes. Regularly assessing program effectiveness and adjust strategies based on feedback and data

Qualifications and Experience Required:

Knowledgeable and experienced practitioner in learning & development – with demonstrated expertise in the application of established instructional design and delivery methodologies e.g. ADDIE.

Experience in delivering digital skills learning interventions would be preferred.

Experienced of designing and implementing successful learning pathways and programs.
