A small medical office in Glen Cove, NY is hiring a Patient Care Coordinator to join their growing team! We are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist looking for the next step in their career at a small speciality office. The hours for this position vary from Monday to Friday and would be for the following shifts: 7am to 3pm, 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm. We are open to morning or afternoon preference, however, you must be flexible to work different shifts as needed. We are looking for a reliable and outgoing candidate with at least 2 years of experience working for a Medical Office previously that has knowledge of basic terminology. Being fluent in both English and Spanish is plus, but not a requirement for this opportunity. Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, walk them to exams, and register new patients.

  • Scheduling: Schedule appointments and manage phone calls.

  • Documentation: Handle extensive paperwork, including billing slips, physical forms, and filing charts.

  • Chart Management: Pull and file charts accurately.

  • Referrals and Insurance: Obtain referrals, verify insurance, and manage prior authorizations.

  • Billing: Enter billing information, submit claims, and ensure accurate data entry.

  • Correspondence: Respond to correspondence and manage fax communications.
