The Impact You Can Make The groundskeepers are responsible to care and maintain the exterior property of the Hospital and assigned satellite buildings to include landscaping/gardening duties, snow removal and parking lot maintenance. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to, relocation and disposal of various items as needed and assigned by the Lead Groundskeeper. Qualifications/Experience * High School Graduate or G.E.D * Previously demonstrated aptitude and ability through previous practical experience in grounds maintenance * Proven mechanical skills * One to 4 years of experience performing similar work (preferred)or Vocational school specific to job description. * Experience in heavy equipment operation loader, skid steer, etc. (preferred)) * Basic mechanical skills. * Use of hand and power tools, as well as minor testing equipment. * Ability to work in a team environment. * Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers. Customer service skills. * Experience using grounds equipment and tools, snow removal equipment and vehicles. * Experience painting, including necessary surface preparatory work. * Minor building maintenance skills. Salary Range The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is$17.25 to $28.93per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
