Position contingent on contract award   

Position Summary: Oversee requirements and operations onsite for student training mission support of the Drivers Training Support Services (DTSS) at the FLETC. Provide support to the Project Manager.

 Requirements:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities in quality control management within the past five (5) years.

  • Proficient in oral and written communications in English.

  • Utilize a computer to communicate via e-mail, retrieve reports and provide reports.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • May not perform professional duties associated with other work, contracts, or engagements.

Essential Functions:  Responsible for developing, improving, and implementing quality assurance plans to ensure training programs which meet the required standards. This includes conducting regular audits of training sessions, vehicles, and materials, and addressing any non-conformances. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, collaborate with training staff to integrate quality practices, and oversee testing and evaluation of driver training effectiveness. Manage corrective actions, deliver QC training to staff, and maintain thorough documentation while continuously seeking improvements in training quality and customer satisfaction.

  • Conduct a walk-thru inspection of a random sample of 30% of services, at a minimum.

  • Maintain files (i.e. weekly, monthly, annually) of all quality control inspections, inspection results, and any correction action required.

  • Collaborate with Company Executives to improve Quality Control (QC) specifications and standards.

  • Ensure Project Managers are aware of quality standards and requirements and all processes comply with relevant regulations, standards and contract requirements.

  • Maintain records of inspections and non-conformance issues, and report quality metrics to management.

  • Work with project stakeholders to integrate quality processes into all phases of the project.

  • Identify and address non-conformances, implementing proper corrective actions.

  • Address quality concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Recognize and implement improvements in quality processes and efficiency.

  • Identify and mitigate quality risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

While performing the duties of this position, the IC is regularly required to talk, listen, and write. The IC frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The IC is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The IC must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
