General Mills Inc Business Development Manager - Medallion Labs in Golden Valley, Minnesota

The Medallion Labs Business Development Manager has primary responsibility for the overall success of the Medallion Labs business. This includes leading Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Customer Service and Accounting. Primary responsibilities include tracking and reaching financial goals; establishing business goals; creating and maintaining a sustainable pipeline of growth; strategic planning; maintaining accounting and finance compliance; leading best-in-class customer service practices; and overseeing legal and quality compliance. This role also handles all business development activities by researching and developing marketing opportunities as well as implementing marketing and sales plans. Other duties include understanding competitive analysis and marketing goals are in line with Medallion's vision and values. The role requires close collaboration with all cross-functional Medallion Leadership Team pillars. This role will be based out of our James Ford Bell Pilot Plant located in Minneapolis, MN. To learn more about this location and the surrounding community, click here! ACCOUNTABILITIES: Supervising Sales, Marketing, Account Managers, Customer Service, Accounting. Monitor and publish all key metrics for the health of the ML business: office budget, revenue, profit margin, pipeline, business development, marketing, and customer service Generation of new growth strategies for the ML business Ensure customer compliance to ISO 17025, Quality, Accounting, Finance Handles all legal questions, claims, and documentation including (COIs, NDAs, Supplier agreements, Tax and Finance documentation, Code of Ethics documentation and Medallion Terms and Conditions documents). Supports the creation and maintenance of best practice customer service processes Manages price catalogs for all internal and external testing Key stakeholder/driver for new sales products and tools - i.e. internal/external customer portals. Identify and maintain understanding of Medallion's ideal customer profile Develop sales action plans that expand product solutions and offerings including redesigning current product offerings and targeted sales tools Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and channels that will lead to an increase in sales Use knowledge of the market and competitors to identify and develop unique selling propositions and differentiators Research and monitor competitor and industry trends Maintain customer database integrity (SalesForce) Be the brand champion for Medallion Labs through creating the brand architecture Creation and publication of all marketing material in line with marketing plans Own the lead generation process including tradeshows, promotions, and advertising MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 8 years+ of experience in the business development with proven track record of leading sales with marketing insight. Bachelors degree Proven leadership skills and the ability to drive change Excellent interpersonal, communication and listening skills Ability to engage, motivate, and develop others Ability to multitask and apply problem solving tools and principles Understanding and experience interacting with multiple business functions including Legal, Human Resources, Finance, Operations Team. Excellent project management skills and ability to balance multiple priorities. Strong stakeholder management and strategic influencing skills, ability to navigate in a matrix and align teams around one common goal. Demonstrated experience using data as your daily tools to manage and grow your business with monthly reporting of current progress and future forecasting. Build a deep understanding of your business, using available tools to analyze and identify key opportunities consistent with the business priorities. Develop impactful relationships with top customers to stay current on future testing needs. Partner with cross-functional peers across Medallion to deliver our business strategies. Build rapport and credibility with internal busi ess partners to achieve shared goals PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge of Salesforce and accounting-based systems ex. Sage Demonstrated Change Agent with experience embracing digital solutions for new ways of working. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $106800.00 - $160300.00 / Annually.
