Resideo Senior Manager, Product Management in Golden Valley, Minnesota

Resideo's Global Climate Solutions business (within Products & Solutions) is currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Product Management to lead our Americas product offering and local Product Management team.  This position will have direct responsibility for developing and evolving our Americas offering for heating applications such as Boiler, Water Heaters, Ducted, Heat Pumps and Adjacent applications. This function will be leveraging on our established global platforms strategy and maximizing synergies with EMEA and APAC teams for purposes of growing the overall Resideo business.  The person hired in this role will directly manage a local Product Management team.

This position reports to GCS Global Product Line Director and will lead all aspects of product lifecycle management for the business. This includes the following: develop, manage, and implement product/customer and marketing strategies and programs, new product development and introduction (NPI), value propositions, pricing, standard work, commercial launches, profitability programs, end of life management etc. Key performance metrics include (but not limited to) revenue growth, standard gross margin, and EBITDA.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop and execute robust business strategies to grow Resideo’s Americas product portfolio, creating a strong linkage between financials, technology, and customer need.

  • Build a solid offering plans that accelerate growth in controls and systems in High-Efficiency boilers, next generation Furnace and Water Heaters, leveraging global platforming with local and global R&D competencies. 

  • Partner with other product management groups within the organization (ex. water or thermostats) to develop end-to-end offering for OEMs, installers and service organizations.

  • Collaborate with sales to develop robust pipeline of OEM and Trade opportunities and support the RFQ process to win business.

  • Develop and quantify strong value propositions for the portfolio to clearly articulate differentiation to customers, channel partners and the sales team.

  • Participate with the PM team in cross-functional New Product Development and introduction (NPI) teams.  Lead all product management aspects associated with the product definition, product development, pricing, market introduction, sales tools, and promotion plans.

  • Participate in industry associations and help the Resideo organization journey as industry technology leader.

  • Partner with other functions internally to secure product launches and execute an effective portfolio life cycle management (ex. Sourcing, ISC, Marketing, Sales, etc).

  • Long-term champion cross-functional activities to maximize overall product line performance including revenue growth, profitability improvement, quality, and delivery.

  • Understand pricing tool kit and analytical techniques; Understand pricing waterfall tool; execute waterfall analysis and drive to actions with financial results.

  • Develop the positioning strategy for the portfolio considering price, volume, market share and profitability.

  • Monitor and assess competitive products and programs; adjust strategy, as necessary.

  • Develop content for customer, partner or internal product training sessions as needed.

  • Up to 35% travel.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 10+ years of professional experience, including 5+ years focused on Product Management, Marketing, Strategy, Business Development, or related fields.

  • 2+ years of experience managing or leading teams, ideally within Product Management.

  • Proven track record working in product-driven organizations, with hands-on involvement in the entire new product development (NPD) and introduction (NPI) lifecycle (with experience in industries such as HVAC, heat pumps, gas controls, or emerging technologies preferred).
