KPSG is based in Fort Worth, Texas with Engineering activities centralized in the Fort Worth facility (along with Finance, Human Resources, Customer Operations, Sales, and Installation Services), supporting product manufacturing in three locations: Fort Worth; Piney Flats, TN; and Goodyear, AZ.

KPS Global is looking for a Quality Manager, to join the Corporate Quality Group.

Job Summary

The Quality Manager is responsible for creating and promoting a quality culture within the KPS Global organization by planning, coordinating and implementing the quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of products that are consistent to KPS Global’s established high standards. Quality Manager is also responsible for executing and improving key processes to drive continuous improvements in our processes and products by working closely with the different process owners such as: Production, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain to identify and correct the root causes of unacceptable processes and products at a pace consistent with the needs of our customers. The Quality Manager also owns the compliance to our processes by establishing audit protocols.

Major Responsibilities

  • Direct resource for data analysis, problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.

  • Owner and accountable for the implementation of the COPQ strategy.

  • Support root-cause analysis and other problem-solving activities to identify effective corrective actions and process improvements.

  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and lead initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce defects, and optimize production processes.

  • Oversee product inspections and testing procedures to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards. Develop and implement standard operating procedures as necessary.

  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of quality processes, procedures, and records.

  • Use of theory and principles of statistics and statistical process control.

  • Interact with other departments to identify opportunities to improve quality and establish feedback with manufacturing and development personnel.

  • Actively lead and participate in internal quality audits.

  • Support the manufacturing groups to create, implement and document procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.

  • Support consistent metrics (process capability, control charts, measurement quality) for monitoring systems effectiveness

  • Interface with suppliers and customer representatives concerning problems with quality control and assure that effective corrective actions are implemented.

  • Implementing, and maintaining the factory Quality Management System.

  • Supervising and directing activities of the factory quality team.

  • Developing and conducting quality training for manufacturing teams.

  • Developing and implementing the factory process control plans.

  • Visits to other manufacturing sites, supplier and customer sites (including occasional travel).

Required Skills

  • Must have the ability to communicate and engage effectively (verbal/written/presentations) at all levels of the organization. Experience presenting at executive level.

  • A proven leader that effectively works through influence. Strong data driven and decision maker individual – change agent.

  • Must have excellent computer skills (PowerPoint, Excel and statistical software tools)

    Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to work equally in an office and factory environment

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar field required, prefer with specialization in Quality Systems and Statistics.

  • Must have 10+ years of effective and proven experience in a management role, preferred within the quality profession and continuous improvement. (Manufacturing / Mechanical / Foam industry preferred)

  • Strong proven experience as a quality assurance resource for data analysis, problem identification, resolution, and continuous improvement.

  • Strong knowledge and experience for problem solving techniques such 5 why’s, Fishbone, Process mapping, etc. in order to identify root cause and define CAPA.

  • Working knowledge of statistical software is especially desirable or equivalent, ERP, Shop floor knowledge helpful.

  • Preferably, the candidate should have experience in writing or editing a quality management systems process.

  • Experience in design and development of new product introduction.

  • Certified Quality Auditor / Engineer preferred.

  • Six Sigma (DMAIC) - Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Kanban experience preferred.

  • Working knowledge of PPAP APQP, preferred
