Job Description

Polk Mechanical is looking for a Construction Estimator to join our high performing team. This role will provide project estimation for smaller projects, and includes developing job estimates from repair scopes using schematic drawings photographs and field notes, Additional responsibilities include providing oversight on the day-to-day activities of assigned projects.

• RS Means Software Estimating

• Analyses of subcontractor estimates and proposals

• Developing job estimates from repair scopes using schematic drawings photographs and field notes

• Develops, monitors and manages department processes and procedures to ensure department output realizes maximum productivity.

• Works under limited guidance with broad general supervision.

• Performs ancillary duties as required.

  Job Requirements

• 5+ years in construction working as an estimator or similar function.

• Experience in system costs for various applications and building types.

• Extensive knowledge of general commercial construction.

• Able to interpret contractual documents, plans, specifications.

• Proficiency with computerized estimating systems.

• Proficient in using Microsoft office suite.

• Minimum of college degree or equivalent.
