Trinity Health Pharmacy Technician II in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description:

High school education or equivalent.

  • Preferred Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program; or two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical field applications.

  • Credentials/Licensure Minimum Fully licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) in the State of Michigan. Currently employed Pharmacy Technicians at Mercy Health may also satisfy this requirement with a Limited Pharmacy Technician Licensure. Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician/pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols.

  • Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures.

  • Contributes to effective and quality operation of the department.

  • Maintains logs, records, and other required documentation; files documentation; answers telephone and pneumatic tube; and handles cash transactions.

  • Processes medication charges and credits according to established policy.

  • Basic pharmacy computer order entry.

Position may cover all Trinity Health Grand Rapids retail pharmacy locations which include Trinity Health Pharmacy - Wege Center, Trinity Health Pharmacy - Byron Center, Trinity Health Pharmacy - Hudsonville, Trinity Health Pharmacy - Rockford, Trinity Health Pharmacy - Cathedral Square and Trinity Health Pharmacy - Roosevelt Park. Coverage across various locations may be short term in duration or long term as dictated by business needs. Potential hours: M-F 7:30am-6:30pm.
