Aerotek Process Technician in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Job Title: Process Technician

Job Description

As a Level III Process Technician, you will focus primarily on intermediate to advanced processor duties. Responsibilities include demonstrating material, mold change, and processing knowledge, training and monitoring lower level employees, proficient application of scientific/decoupled molding techniques for setup and troubleshooting, setting up/programming in-house robots, and documenting changes in setup. Leadership qualities are essential, as you will give direction to lower level employees to achieve OEE metrics, track mold repair requests, perform mold/material/process sampling, and suggest mold modifications for process improvements. Additionally, you will work directly with the shift manager to plan mold and color change events, direct the Tech Support Group to maintain OEE metrics, handle higher-level troubleshooting, oversee mold changes, engage in lower-level engineering projects, assist in robotics/automation events, and participate in training and skill evaluations.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Work Environment

The position is available for the 2nd Shift (3 pm-11 pm) and 3rd Shift (11 pm-7 am), both requiring work on weekends. The pay ranges from $28-$34 per hour, with $31 per hour being ideal. The plant is large and bright, although not temperature-controlled, which can lead to higher temperatures during the summer months.
