Description We are looking to hire a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for our operations in the agricultural industry in Grapevine, Texas. This role involves interim accounting management responsibilities, including month-end close, account analysis, and balance sheet reconciliations. The position offers a short-term contract employment opportunity. The Senior Accountant will be expected to utilize their skills in account reconciliation, general ledger management, journal entries, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, and SAP.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

• Conduct comprehensive account analysis to monitor financial performance

• Reconcile and clear balance sheet accounts regularly to maintain up-to-date records

• Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel at an advanced level to manage financial data

• Handle interim senior accounting duties as needed to cover resignations or absences

• Leverage understanding of General Ledger to ensure accurate financial reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries, contributing to the maintenance of all accounting records

• Use Oracle for various accounting tasks, maximizing efficiency and accuracy

• Employ skills in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure financial integrity

• Participate in special projects as required, providing accounting expertise. Requirements • Proven experience as a Senior Accountant in the agriculture industry

• Proficient in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Comprehensive understanding of general ledger and journal entries

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Demonstrated ability to handle month end close procedures

• Experience with Oracle and SAP is a must

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
