Description/Job Summary

This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment, compensation, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, benefits administration, training, affirmative action, workers compensation, and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities/Duties

Conducts recruitment for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, conducts new employee orientations; writes and places job postings.

Handles employee relations counseling.

Must be well-versed in employment law regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, etc.)

Build internal relationships across multiple departments.

Knowledge of and administering workers compensation

Effectively communicates beneft information to employees

Manages plant-wide communication systems

Knowledgeable of benefits administration to include claims resolution

Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and unemployment.

Planning, organizing and leading employee recognition programs.

Required Skills

Excellent Oral, written and communication skills

Leading and developing internal client areas

Good data analysis skills

Must be flexible as duties and responsiblities may change

Required Experience

Minimum of three years of prior HR experience in a manufacturing setting (five years + preferred)

Working knowledge of MicroSoft Windows products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Preferred Experience

Experience with HRIS system (preferably Ceridian DayForce) a plus

Bachelor's Degree
