Description/Job Summary
Member of a working team with responsibilities pertaining to the grinder and the fabrication of BOPP film
Winder Technician will be participating as a team member working in the operation of a very high speed and fast paced production environment
Support the training of all operators assigned to the BOPP Orienter
ORIENTER- Resin delivery systems, extrusion, casting, MD orientation, TD orientation, post TD web handling, treatment, online recycling system and winding
Winder technician is to ensure recyclable scrap film is processed through the grinders in a timely manner. The Winder technicians must familiarize themselves with the norman operation of the Winder area and grinder
Winder technician is responsible for accurate data recording and sample taking-interaction with the Lab is required
Practice safe work habits in all areas of the facility while seting the example for other co-workers. Safety must be the number one priority
Be alert to all changes in equipment operation and film behavioer/apperance
Monitor the operations and be alert to all changes in equipment operations
Provide accurate and up-to-date information for use in production reports/records
Effectively communicate with other production personnel, including team members, supervisors, production manager, and maintenance personnel
Be able to identify process/equipment problems and notifying the appropriate supervision
Ensure a hazard free working environment by continuously practicing safety awareness and hazard recognition while maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards
Responsibilities/Duties
Possess a thorough working knowledge of the grinder and all aspects of the film fabrication process as pertains to the BOPP orienter. Interacts with co-workers as part of a highly motivated and productive team. The primary responsibility of the Winder Technician is the daily operation of the Winder while supporting the film line.
Required Education
High School diploma or GED
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
One to two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Good computer skills
Overtime may be required due to production requirements
