Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Cardiac Sonographer - NYU Langone at Great Neck Medical - Per Diem. In this role, the successful candidate Responsible for performing, measuring and analyzing all aspects of cardiac ultrasound testing which includes M-mode two-dimensional, pulsed and continuous wave, color flow Doppler, transesophageal echocardiography (TEE), stress echocardiograms including pharmacological stress testing.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for daily quality control of equipment and escalates issues as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    • Performs transthorachic echocardiograms, stress echo (both exercise and pharmacological) per department and management guidelines. Captures digital cardiac images and performs measurements correctly, recognizing pathology andor customizes exam requiring contrast agent accordingly due to lack of image quality.
    • Responsible for the preparation of echocardiogram procedure including but not limited to equipment, supplies, instruments and appropriate paperwork.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Associate's Degree in a related field and completion of an accredited program in Ultrasound or equivalent combination of education and experience. Registered or must obtain registry within one year of hire date by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or CCI reg. Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation required. Must maintain active registry status.

Preferred Qualifications:
Registered by the American Registry to Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $40.00 - $42.50 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
