Overview

The Customer Solutions Center is a new structure which enables Mastercard to develop better solutions & bundles for prioritized customer segments in markets.

It is the housing for all Mastercard capabilities in a geography, and it aims to drive Mastercard growth and revenue by creating and selling compelling data-driven, scalable needs-based solutions to new and existing customers by tapping into Mastercard’s extensive toolbox of products and services offerings.

There are three main business functions within the CSC: Products & Solutions Specialists, Customer Solutions Architects and Customer Technical Architects. Customer Solutions Architects are responsible for Customer solutioning and combining products into holistic customer propositions.

As Director, Customer Solution Architect, Fintech and Digital Partners (F&DP), you will be responsible for delivering scalable solutions for the F&DP customer segment across UK and Ireland. You will work closely with the Account and Business Development teams and Products & Solutions Specialists to enable solutions that addresses digital partner needs while leveraging the unique competitive advantages that our solutions offer.

Customer Solution Architects (CSA) are the main partner to Frontline during solutioning to maximise the impact of solutions for the client. Customer Solution Architect is a curator of solutions and aggregator across products for segments during solution bundling and helps AM ‘tell the story’ to client. They play a critical role in ensuring relevancy and driving differentiation across all segments resulting in better relationships, market share and revenue.

They will work closely with the frontline sales functions and link up the Product Management (Digital and Core), Services (Cyber & Intelligence, Loyalty and Data &Services) and Network Product Groups.

Role

In this position, you will:

• Closely partner with frontline sales teams to develop integrated, customised solutions that deliver on customers’ current needs, supporting complex sales opportunities and RFPs

• Build strong consultative relationships with customers, resulting in an excellent understanding of customer needs and value-creation opportunities

• Proactively identify themes and develop propositions that challenge the status quo and deliver valued thought leadership for customers, resulting in innovation and market evolution

• Bring knowledge and expertise from the organisation into solution-building and conversely, deliver customer feedback and insights back into product groups, to inform future strategies and product improvements/evolution

• Identify enabling partners i.e. external parties such as Fintechs, for solutioning when capabilities are not present internally within Mastercard

• Consult and collaborate with global CSC network to leverage best practices and drive scale

• Proactive and consultative approach to understanding customers’ current and future needs, identifying opportunities and shaping solutions

• Customer-facing experience alongside a strong commercial mindset

• Excellent at collaboration and internal and external relationship building; strong communicator

• Ability to rally and gain backing from internal stakeholders in order to build organizational support for a proposed solution

• Creative, agile and adept at conceptual thinking grounded in data and a deep knowledge base
