FLEX-STAFF, INC. - GREEN BAY Accounting & HR Manager in GREEN BAY, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Accounting & HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the transactional accounting functions, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll processes. This role ensures the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions and supports human resources functions to maintain effective employee management. This is a temporary need to fill in for a leave of absence from September 16th-November 29th, 2024. Additionally, this position will be available for full-time permanent status in March 2025 due to an upcoming retirement. The schedule for this opportunity is Monday-Friday from 7:30am-4:00pm. Essential Functions: -Accounts Payable Processing: Ensure supplier invoices are entered promptly and paid within discount periods to meet company objectives. -Accounts Receivable Processing: Maintain up-to-date customer accounts, address past dues promptly, and manage sales order holds when necessary. -Commission and Rebates: Calculate and ensure timely payment of commissions and rebates for independent and internal representatives. -AR Credit Processing: Validate and post credits to the AR ledger by customer. -Month-End Close Process: Lead the account reconciliation process with CFO reviews of key accounts. -Cash Reconciliation and Controls: Perform monthly cash reconciliations and manage cash controls to meet company goals. -Quarter and Year-End Process Support: Provide necessary support and documentation for quarterly and year-end processes. -Human Resources: Update new hires in the system, communicate insurance and benefit programs, and manage employee turnover processes. -Payroll Process: Lead the payroll process to accurately collect and process time, PTO, and other payroll-related information. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: -High degree of integrity. -Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, such as GAAP and internal controls. -Strong communication and organizational skills for effective interaction with all company levels. -Strong analytical, problem-solving, and deductive reasoning skills. -Ability to apply business management principles, including strategic planning, personnel management, and departmental budgeting. -Effective time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and organize work. -Proficiency in creating, updating, and modeling spreadsheets and word processing (MS Office).
