JOB REQUIREMENTS: Leroy Stahl Trucking inc. is looking for a Class A CDL Driver able to haul flatbed, lowboy, and dump trailer. A clean driving record is a must. Most work is local, during the summer months you could be staying out of town for the week, always home for the weekend. We offer competitive pay based on experience. After 90 days we can discuss a pay increase. Employment Type: Full Time Pay: \$20 to \$30 an hour based on experience. Responsibilities: Safely and efficiently operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, dump trucks, dump trailer, flatbed, and lowboy. Understand how to tie down and tarp properly. Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safety and report any issues or concerns. Maintain accurate records of delivery, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information. Plan routes and navigate to destinations using GPS or other navigation tools. Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and pickups. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and customer service. Check all load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy. Inspect loads to ensure that cargo is secure. Maintain logs of working hours or of vehicle service or repair status, following applicable state and federal regulations. Read bills of lading to determine assignment details. Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles. Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required. Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order. Crank trailer landing gear up or down to safely secure vehicles. Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid, performing minor repairs, or washing trucks. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned. Collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verifying instructions and routes. Drive trucks with capacities greater than 3 tons, including tractor-trailer combinations, to transport and deliver products, livestock, or other materials. Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes. Check conditions of trailers after contents have been unloaded to ensure that there has been no damage. Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, phones, or global positioning systems (GPS) equipment to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers. Secure cargo for transport, using ropes, blocks, chain, binders, or covers. Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions. Install or remove special equipment, such as tire chains, grader blades, plow blades, or sanders. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements: Valid commercial driver\'s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a truck driver. Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents. Ability to operate various types of trucks. Manual transmission is a must. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Strong attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols. (Traffic laws) Time management skills and the ability to meet delivery deadlines.
