JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 21051 JOB DUTIES: UW SYSTEM OFFICIAL TITLE: Vehicle Equipment Technician II POSTING DATE: July 2, 2024 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position reports to the Grounds Supervisor and performs diagnosis, maintenance and repairs to automotive vehicles, small engines, large/agricultural vehicles and related equipment to ensure effective functioning of institutional vehicles and equipment. This position includes the following responsibilities: Inspects, maintains, and repairs complex parts and systems for small, automotive, and large-engine vehicles and equipment under general supervision to ensure optimal and safe operation. Identifies and troubleshoots complex vehicle and small-engine issues and collaborates with work unit staff to resolve issues. Documents completed maintenance and repairs according to established policies and procedures. Serves as a point of contact for individuals providing information and updates about vehicle and small-engine maintenance and repairs. Operates all facility equipment and assists with grounds maintenance tasks when requested. SPECIAL NOTES: Position is a full-time 100% University Staff appointment. The work hours for this position will be 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. A criminal conviction investigation and pre-work screen examination will be conducted on the finalist(s).
