The Semiconductor Yield Engineerwill be responsible for sustaining and improving SAW wafer yield and quality in the Qorvo NC fab. Work closely with internal and external customers on yield improvement projects and resolving quality issues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sustaining and improving wafer and die yield, in balance with overall final product cost

  • Driving yield improvement activities and leading change projects

  • Maintaining and improving the quality of the product

  • Interacting with internal and external customers to resolve quality issues using an 8D methodology

  • Communicating results and status of technical issues with other fab engineers, product teams, corporate quality, and customers

  • Serving as key technical resource regarding product performance and capability in cooperation with ProcessEngineering, Operations, Test, Design, and Quality as productsramp and reach maturity

  • Ensuring and guiding the fab towards a successful conclusion of internal and customer audit

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of work experience or Masters or PhD degree in engineering or physical science preferred

  • 2-5 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing role is highly desirable

  • Highly inquisitive with a strong desire to enact improvements

  • Must be highly motivated and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • A good understanding of statistical analysis of data

  • A good understanding of semiconductor device physics and processing

  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis techniques, design of experiments (DOE), and basic RF concepts

  • Experience with FDC and R2R Control preferred

  • Experience with SQL, Python, and R preferred
