Put a LIFT in Your Career! Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Industrial Engineer I-III based at one of our Greenville, NC Plant Facility.

What you will do:

  • Develop and drive development and sustainment of the material flow integration within the facility

  • Manage the expansion of material flow with the inclusion of New Product Introduction

  • Lead and monitor material flow operations throughout the facility, providing resolutions for issues that have been defined along with identifying continuous improvement throughout

  • Quantify continuous improvement with the involvement of Supply Chain, Materials, and Manufacturing to ensure KPI’s are in alignment

  • Help develop and maintain standard work practices and strategies with internal and external logistics (in-plant flow & warehouse to plant flow)

  • Oversee indirect labor by defining kitting & milk run operations, calculating process times

  • Assist with scheduling systems and define internal flow for product movement

  • Communicate with Materials team members along with other support members on results from overall objectives

What you will need:

Industrial Engineer I:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or comparable degree or equivalent working experience

  • Up to 2 years of experience within a Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering position with significant experiences in materials handling.

Industrial Engineer II:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or comparable degree or equivalent working experience

  • Up to 3 years of experience within a Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering position with significant experiences in materials handling.

Industrial Engineer III:

  • Bachelor of science degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or comparable degree or equivalent working experience

  • 3 to 5 years of experience within a Supply Chain or Manufacturing Engineering position with significant experiences in materials handling.

Skills, Abilities, Experience:

  • Production Processes: Knowledge of discrete manufacturing production processes and systems, and the ability to engineer material handling solutions.

  • Industrial Technology: Awareness of industrial technology trends in discrete manufacturing and materials handling, with the ability to assess their value and application.

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex business processes into manageable components for thorough analysis.

  • Innovation: Skills and experience in developing innovative approaches to manufacturing challenges.

  • Project Management: Strong project management skills and experience in leading projects from inception to completion.

  • Change Management: Ability to help individuals and groups successfully transition through changes to achieve desired business outcomes.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities, both as an individual contributor and as a manager, with a focus on driving results and fostering team collaboration
