Job Summary

The Global Operations will play a pivotal role in steering our manufacturing operations towards excellence. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our outsourced manufacturing processes, ensuring that products are produced efficiently, cost-effectively, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical device manufacturing, and other regulated sectors, with specialized knowledge in fiber optics and laser engineering.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning and Execution: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance manufacturing efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Align manufacturing operations with the company's overall business goals.

• Supply Chain Management: Oversee the global supply chain, ensuring that all aspects of procurement, production, and distribution are optimized for efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

• Quality Control: Implement rigorous quality control measures to ensure that all products meet or exceed regulatory standards and customer expectations. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing processes.

• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to the manufacturing team. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. Mentor and develop team members to build a high-performing manufacturing organization.

• Operational Planning: Lead the operational planning process, including demand forecasting, production scheduling, and inventory management. Ensure that manufacturing operations are flexible and responsive to changing market demands.

• Technology Integration: Leverage expertise in fiber optics and laser engineering to drive innovation in manufacturing processes. Stay abreast of technological advancements in the field and assess their potential impact on manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field. Advanced degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Fiber Optics, Laser Engineering) is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device industry.

• Proven track record of success in managing outsourced manufacturing operations.

• Deep knowledge of fiber optics and laser engineering, with the ability to apply this expertise to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.

• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.

• Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Familiarity with regulatory standards and quality systems relevant to the medical device industry (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).

• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
