Utility Technician 2nd Shift | Monday – Friday (2:30pm – 11:00pm)

Purpose of Job:

Primary responsibilities will be the maintaining of all plant utility equipment. Demonstrates ability to lead projects and/or work groups.

Key Activities:

performing maintenance tasks on utility equipment and systems. Perform general and emergency repairs on utility equipment and systems. Daily monitoring (take readings) of utilities systems, adjust equipment if necessary to optimize performance.

Scope of Position

Primary responsibilities will be the maintaining of all plant utility equipment. This includes boilers, air compressors, chillers, clean steam generators, water purification stills, steam headers, water loops, cooling towers, DI water systems, pumps, and CIP systems. Utility Techs will perform all overhauls and routine maintenance while performing daily monitoring of all utility systems to ensure proper operation.

Demonstrates ability to lead projects and/or work groups. Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools. Must be able to multi-task. Previous Lean Mfg. experience preferred. Must be able to coordinate projects and communicate results. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment. Must be a self-starter – work with minimal supervision. Computer skills: working knowledge of MP2, window-based programs.

Qualification:

Education: Associates Degree in maintenance related field or 10 years critical utilities experience with a High School Diploma/ GED required.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years critical utilities experience.

Special Skills: Daily monitoring of utility systems
