OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is looking for a Project Controls Engineer I, proficient in both schedule and cost, to support the High-Performance Facilities Business Unit. The position can be executed from any one of our HPF offices: Greenwood Village (Denver metro), CO Merritt Island, FL Huntsville, AL Chamblee (Atlanta metro), GA. Typical annual pay range for this position is $66,000 - $83,000. Pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, skills, and experience WHAT YOU'LL DO

Responsibilities will include developing, managing, and updating project schedules. Developing and maintaining hours, cost and revenue forecasts for multiple projects. This person must be able to work well independently, be self-motivated and also be able to work in a team setting. In addition, this person should possess the ability to prioritize and organize multiple assignmen The Project Controls Engineer should have the ability and or interest to do the following: Develop detailed, resource loaded, project design schedule using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas. Analyze critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-around. Provide schedule version control. Conduct a schedule risk assessment to identify potential impacts and develop a mitigation plan. Implement schedule change management process to approve changes to the previous schedules. Ensure that physical progress is being measured and reported in WBS detail, and that the integrated schedule is updated based on the progress. Provide Project Controls services on assigned Project Teams, monitoring of planning, scheduling, cost engineering and trend engineering. Services would include: preparing schedules and performance monitoring status and management reports which identify variances in work execution strategy, provide timely feedback and recommend solutions to management to improve or mitigate problems affecting schedule, cost, or estimating issues throughout the life cycle of a project, program or other work activity. Use system data to prepare monthly hours, cost and revenue forecasts. Utilize the cost data to allow for the tracking and control of budgets, commitments, accruals, expenditures and contingency for the duration of the project. Identify project cost exposures and overrun risks in a timely manner to allow informed mitigation decisions and actions. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree is required. Two (2) or more years of experience in the field of Project Controls (Planning & Scheduling/Cost Engineering/Estimating) or similar background is required. Experience in the Engineering/Procurement/Construction field is required. Candidate must be familiar with the concepts of Earned Value Management (EVM). DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Familiarity in basic project control software applications, including Primavera (P6), Microsoft Word, Excel and Access are beneficial. PERKS
