NOTE: Position is 75% remote, but successful candidate must be located in Northeastern part of the United States (CT, MA, NY, RI) for commuting purposes and requires up to 25% on site.

Leidos is seeking a Command Suite Scientific Support for the Operations Department at the Naval Submarine Medical Research Laboratory (NSMRL) in Groton, CT. NSMRL conducts research and investigates the effects of medical, psychological, and performance issues associated with the health and performance of naval personnel in operational and non-operational settings. The Challenge:

  • Assist with administrative assignments, as directed by the civilian Directors.

  • Conduct photocopying, compile printouts (briefing packages, business cards, etc.), scan documents, and coordinate mail.

  • Provide coordination and organization support for various meetings. Record meeting minutes as required by the civilian Directors.

  • Assist with scheduling, coordinating, and planning internal NSMRL conferences for on-site, off-site, and virtual.

  • Provide coordination and recording support for the Research Safety Review Board (RSRB). Maintain RSRB Tracker, approved research equipment library, and all RSRB process documents.

  • Provide coordination and recording support for the Scientific Review Board (SRB). Maintain SRB Tracker and all SRB process documents.

  • Prepare, review, and disseminate various internal and external communications and official correspondence directly supporting the science-based mission of the command.

  • At direction of civilian Directors, organize documents and schedules for various meetings and committees.

  • Assist in electronically routing various research command documents and projects as needed by the civilian Directors.

  • Support the ordering and maintenance of inventory for the Command Suite office supplies.

  • Provide administrative duties and coordination for research command events, ceremonies, and laboratory visitors, as directed by the civilian Directors.

  • Provide other administrative duties as needed by the civilian Directors.

What Sets You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience.

  • Administrative experience within a Government or military organization.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to acquire, at a minimum, a SECRET classification access level. Preference will be given to a candidate who already has this clearance level, but current clearance is not required.

  • Due to Federal contract requirements, US citizenship is required.

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $53,950.00 - $97,525.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
