Primary Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models and reports to provide data insights and visualizations for business users, utilizing Snowflake and Azure Data Warehouse as primary data sources
Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions crafting and executing queries upon request for data
Translate business needs to technical specifications and build high-quality BI applications to meet these needs
Present information through reports and visualizations via Power BI – effective in data storytelling
Integrate BI solutions with Azure services including but not limited to ADLS, Snowflake, and other RDBMS and Big Data sources
Design, develop, and test BI solutions such as reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data explorations
Enforce data security and compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices
Define models for the following: star schema, composite, hybrid, and aggregate
Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions crafting and executing queries upon request for data
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and data models
Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes
Develop and implement data integration solutions leveraging Azure Cloud, Snowflake, and Azure Data Warehouse technologies
Utilize Python and other programming languages for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.
Utilize Databricks for data engineering and advanced analytics tasks
Ensure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing methodologies
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errors
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering, Power BI, Snowflake, and Azure Cloud technologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software developers, to deliver end-to-end data solutions

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field
8+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on Power BI, Snowflake, Azure Data Warehouse, and Azure Cloud technologies
5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI including modeling, solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model creation, report development, and data visualization, using Snowflake and Azure Data Warehouse as primary data sources
Experience with ETL processes and data integration using Azure Data Factory
Proficiency in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Analytics
Solid programming skills in Python, SQL, and other scripting languages
Familiarity with Databricks for data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning tasks
Understanding of data modeling concepts and relational database systems, with expertise in Snowflake and Azure Data Warehouse
Proven excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issues
Solid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Near real-time data processing, or PBI hybrid table for real-time data
Solid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Proven excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualification:
- Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Cloud, Snowflake, or related fields
