Skill Set

Primary

• Hands-on experience in providing innovative solutions to Automate Web/Windows/iOS-based applications integrated with Image/Video verification.

• Extensive experience implementing solutions on market leader Test Automation tools, scripting languages, and frameworks.

• Hands-on experience in developing Test Automation Harnesses/Tools to support Automation.

• Understanding of Video Standards and Codecs:

• Knowledge of video compression standards (e.g., H.264, H.265) and codecs.

• Familiarity with video file formats (e.g., MP4, AVI, MKV).

• Experience using hardware and software encoders and advanced knowledge of video compression and codecs, such as SMPTE ST-2110, JPEGXS, HEVC, MPEG-2, & H.264

• Experience with Video Streaming Protocols:

• Understanding of streaming protocols like RTMP, RTSP, HLS, and MPEG-DASH.

• Testing knowledge related to adaptive streaming and buffering.

• Knowledge of Streaming Video Software, Live Production, Playout / Automation Systems, & Video

• Video Quality Assessment:

• Understanding of artifacts such as compression artifacts, blockiness, and blurring.

• Responsible for understanding our camera image / Video quality performance metrics such as PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio), SSIM (Structural Similarity Index), or perceptual quality assessment methods and developing a robust and reliable automation framework to measure performance results based on lab environments.

• Ensure that every video produced by the system meets the quality standards. This involves meticulous review and evaluation of video content for accuracy, visual appeal, and adherence to client guidelines.

• Performance Testing:

• Proficiency in testing the performance of video playback, especially in scenarios with varying network conditions.

• Knowledge of load testing and stress testing for video streaming services.

• Enable continuous Integration while Integrating build deployment tools like Jenkins with Automation Frameworks

• Understand, implement, and validate machine learning, Forecasting, and AI models (such as supervised, semi-supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning, deep learning, or NLP/NLU) and ensure the quality of the model implementation.

• Familiarity with video technologies such as video encoding/packaging and video/audio quality analysis.

• Provide technical guidance and direction to team members to adhere to coding, quality, functionality, performance, scalability, and on-time delivery standards.

• Demonstrated experience Automating in an Agile / Scrum environment in parallel with Design/Test

• Participate in analyzing and troubleshooting problems/observations and working with different teams to drive toward root cause identification and resolution.

• Collaborate with developers/other teams and QA leads to improve testability, automation, and tools.

Additional

• Experience working in remote/virtual teams

• Prior experience in Performance or Security testing will be a plus.

• Prior experience in designing Hardware, Mechanical, and Electrical fixtures to test hardware integration will be a big plus.

• Prior Experience with managing big documentation to meet FDA or regulatory requirements will be a plus.

• Knowledge of networking concepts (QoS, packet traces) is a plus.
