Texas County 911 is the answering point for all emergency 911 calls made within Texas County Oklahoma. The Center also takes all non-emergency calls, dispatch and maintain radio traffic for all law enforcement, fire and EMS agencies within our county. Requires operating telephone business system equipment or switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing calls and dispatching emergency personnel. Ability to operate and manipulate controls on multi-line telephone system, computer keyboards and printers and complex radio communications console. Prefer some previous work-related skill, knowledge or experience to facilitate tasks involving emergency response activity, but not required. Employer will train. Require high school diploma; however this requirement will be waived if experience and mandatory 911 training has been completed in monitoring radio transmissions and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD); entering appropriate information into NCIC via teletype of missing persons or stolen property. The ability to listen to and understand information and ability to communicate information to appropriate emergency personnel. Job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable, and fulfilling obligations. In addition, job requires being sensitive to others\' needs and feelings and being understanding and helpful on the job.
