Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) – Center for Digital Engineering (CDE) has an open position. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform digital manufacturing activities including factory simulations, process monitoring and data driven AI/ML model development and deployment for global Eatonplants. Incumbent is also required to partner with Engineering, CI, OPEX and Industry 4.0 teams globally to understand the process, people, plant information to develop & validate digital models.

The primary functions for this position include:

• Collaborates with engineering, manufacturing and supply chain functions to define problem statements

• Understands project requirements and solves problems in discussion with local as well as global stakeholders

• Participates in development of simulation modeling methodologies in Discrete Event Simulations

• Deploys developed simulation methodologies for various plants to strengthen “Operating for Growth” strategy

• Should able to understand the existing methods and deploy/improve to mature Analysis with shop floor validations

"• Coordinate with Industry 4.0 and plant stakeholders to develop factory simulation requirements for wide range of Eaton products

• Interpret, summarize and communicate simulation results to global audience and provide production maximization and resource optimization recommendations

• Contribute to maturing factory simulations capability by advancing it to full factory level model development & deployment

• Develop standard tool set to expedite input collection and standardize model development for its reuse/recycle by plant resources

• Deploy and validate improvement scenarios and realize cost savings"

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering from reputed institute

  • 0-2 Years

Skills:

  • Experience on Discrete Event Simulation

• Thorough knowledge of process design, lean principles, manufacturing/assembly/warehouse operations, Value Stream Mapping to perform hand calculations to validate simulation predictions

• Fundamental knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Time and Motion study & DfMA principles

Good to have -

• Basics of Manufacturing Automation & any associated modeling software experience is preferred

• Knowledge of Industry 4.0 trends and demonstrated projects with deployments of relevant initiatives is preferred

• Proficiency in programming languages - Python, R, Knowledge of C# is added advantage

• Basic understanding of lean Six Sigma tools and techniques.

• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written)
