  • Eaton India Innovation Center (EIIC) has an opening for a Senior System Engineer - Mission Systems Division (MSD) in the Aerospace Business. This position will be based in Pune, India.

  • The position will be responsible for leading systems engineering, architecting and systems design of Aerospace Mission Systems / subsystems by delivering system engineering activities.

  • The individual will be responsible for systems engineering, modelling and validation activities for new product development including, analyzing requirements and assessing compliance, defining interfaces, understanding complex system development methods and reviewing component spec.

  • This will include requirements elicitation and management, and the development to a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) centric processes.

  • Lead the development of tools and processes and provide mentoring and guidance to the engineering organization on program execution through the use of MBE and MBSE.

  • A successful candidate will need knowledge and prior experience of Aerospace product development process at system and subsystem levels, subject matter expert in systems engineering to develop, implement, and manage new systems engineering tools and processes into the business as well as mentoring and training the system engineering community.

Qualifications:

Requirement -

  • Bachelors / Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering or equivalent

  • Master's degree - 10+ years or Bachelor's degree - 12+ years experience of System Engineering in Requirements engineering, hydraulics & penumatic System design, development, validation & launch

  • System Engineering, MBSE, Requirements management, System Architecture, Matlab/Simulink, AmeSim, MathCAD, Verification & validation

  • Drive for Results, Communication skills, Analysis-First Mindset, Passionate

  • Responsible to lead and execute full Systems Engineering development life cycle including requirements management, design, development, verification & validation, qualification & certification testing in Aerospace.

  • Influence the continual improvement of the systems engineering capability, including the evolution to a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) environment

  • Apply and develop Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools, processes and techniques to develop system architectures that meet stakeholder needs

  • Develop Operational Concepts (OpsCon) of our next generation systems, developing use cases and generating requirements that can validate customer needs

  • Execute System Architecture ideas and demonstrate feasibility through relevant engineering calculations / predictions.

  • Should have working experience with CAD, analytical & analysis tools (Creo, Matlab/Simulink, AmeSim, MathCAD)

  • Should have proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques.

  • Prepare and manage schedule and project cost working closely with Team Lead.

  • Good communication and presentation skills - both verbal and written are necessary with an ability to make necessary status reports, technical presentations to Eaton management and global stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Systems modelling, with exposure to MBSE, the SysML modelling language, and tools (e.g. Rhapsody, Enterprise Architect, and/or CAMEO).

  • Exposure to industry standards like ARP4754A, IEC15288 is desirable

  • Develop company best practices and use to create system/sub-system architectures and the decomposition, allocation of requirements into sub-systems and LRUs

  • Planning, leading and executing requirements capture and systems architectures development using requirements capture tools (e.g. CRADLE and DOORS NG).

  • Execute system engineering work while driving continuous improvement to fulfil project, system KPIs and meet customer satisfaction.

  • Experenice in system modeling and validation while dealing with Multiphysics in Mechanical, pnuematic/hydraulic & Electric / Electonics, risk management to enable decision making by using robust design methodologies. DFSS GB certification / deployment is preferred.

  • Execute multiphysics system simulations through MatLab Simulink software complying with the specifications. Drive digital transformation by leveraging data, insights and digital tools.

  • Drive and execute a new mechanical/pnuematic system Development through Eaton PROLaunch / PreLaunch system Engineering processes.
