Sierra Nevada Corporation Logistics Specialist II - Expeditor in Hagerstown, Maryland

As a Logistics Specialist II - Expediter you will be developing your skills to plan, and schedule the movement of raw materials, packaging materials, parts, components, services, supplies, finished goods, and related material through our inventory production and process. You'll track production activity to help ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials, troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, assist with providing solutions, and track production and material deficiencies and implementing the master production plan through the material management system to execute the program and product life cycle.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintain KPI (Key Performance Indicators)

  • Manufacturing Order Management

  • WIP Material/Kit Management

  • Purchase Requisition Creation

  • Redline/Drawing Material Changes

  • Status/Reports/Meetings

  • Data Entry

  • Other duties as assigned

Must-haves:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills

  • Basic understanding of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques

  • Experience with inventory databases

  • Experience with engineering change process

  • Knowledge of master production planning

  • Basic understanding of technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications

Preferred:

  • Costpoint/MRP Knowledge

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Applications

  • Excellent organizational Skills with attention to detail

  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication
