Job Description

We are searching for a skilled Sheet Metal Mechanic to join our team.

• In this role, you will be performing aircraft customization and modification on Bombardier Globals and King Air aircrafts. Your duties will include assembling, creating assembly structures, and performing minor part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, burring, trimming, framing, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

• You will be expected to translate blueprints into fabrications of structural assemblies, which includes basic layout, precision drilling, countersinking, and the use of calibrated tools.

• Your responsibilities also involve aligning parts on jigs and aerospace vehicles using templates and fixtures, measuring parts with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions, and modifying incomplete and complete assemblies.

Work Environment

Our company is an electronic defense company located at the Hagerstown Regional Airport in Hagerstown, MD. We operate a Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility where we perform military Intelligence, Reconnaissance, & Surveillance (ISR) modifications to a variety of turboprop aircraft (King Air) and Bombardier Globals. Most of the work performed is based around installations & maintenance of systems on King Air. We provide Total System Solutions for Aircraft Modification, Maintenance, Primary Mission Equipment Integration, Operations and Contractor Logistics Support, Lead Systems Integration and full Turn-Key field Operations. Our facility is very fast-paced and regulated, and the selected candidate will be working in a hangar environment and responsible for performing aircraft modifications.

Contract Terms

6 Month Contract-to-Permanent Position

$40.00 - 45.00/hour based on experience & interview
