Sierra Nevada Corporation Technical Administrative Assistant I – MST Engineering in Hagerstown, Maryland

As a Technical Administrative Assistant I, you will perform a variety of functions in providing proactive administrative support of the MST Engineering Community. You'll be responsible for weekly maintenance of the Outlook staff mailing lists and SharePoint website, monthly compilation of staff meeting presentations, meeting minutes, and action items; quarterly compilation of Engineering budget and demographics presentations, minutes, and action items; and annual compilation of strategic guidance briefings to include budget requests and reports. You'll submit expense reports and purchase requisitions, assist with travel, maintain engineering tool databases, host technical lunch & learn presentations by subject matter experts, and maintain office and lab supply inventory on-site. You'll utilize multiple business applications, process and verify data from multiple sources, and utilize numerous IT platforms in your daily tasks. You will also be required to perform tasks that contribute to the completion of various Engineering functional group projects and goals. Additionally, as part of the MST Administrators Group, you will provide local administrative support, set-up meetings (virtual and on-site), serve as front-desk backup, and liaise with all administrative points of contacts across MST sites.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for years of experience

  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Basic knowledge of administrative practices to include preparing expense reports and purchase requisitions, maintaining business reports, and coordinating travel

  • Proven ability to be extremely dynamic, demonstrate initiative, and have the ability to multi-task in a very fast-paced business environment

  • Ability to solve routine problems of limited scope and complexity

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance

Preferred:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 Teams, Sharepoint, Planner, PowerBI, and OneNote

  • Experience with maintaining a secured facility in a military or Department of Defense environment

  • Experience with Concur Travel and Expense platform or other travel management systems
