What this job involves - Are you a skilled professional with a passion for maintaining and optimizing building systems? We're seeking an experienced Building Engineer to join our team and ensure the smooth operation of our facility's critical infrastructure. Your day to day: Responsibilities: Perform daily water testing on boilers, cooling towers, and water softeners Install, repair, and maintain electrical equipment, controls, and plumbing systems Oversee HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchanger, and hot water systems Conduct routine assessments and preventive maintenance on building systems Monitor and adjust mechanical and electrical operating equipment Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions Maintain accurate logs, close work orders, and communicate with management Ensure compliance with safety regulations and proper handling of hazardous materials Sound like you? To apply you need: Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of related trade schooling or college preferred Minimum 4 years of experience in one or more of the following:Electrical systems HVAC/refrigeration Plumbing/piping Emergency backup systems (generators, UPS) Boiler operations Knowledge of OSHA standards and local building codes Proficiency with relevant tools and machinery Strong computer skills and familiarity with building management software Excellent communication and customer service skills Team player with a strong work ethic Physical Requirements: Ability to walk stairs frequently, climb 40-foot ladders, and lift 60 lbs repeatedly Visual acuity for machinery and building inspections Capability to detect emergency alarms (auditory and visual) Flexibility to perform equipment inspections in hard-to-reach areas JLL Is an Equal Opportunity Employer JLL is committed to developing and maintaining a diverse workforce.
