Description and Requirements

As the Workstation Sales Leader, you will be responsible for owning the overall Workstation P&L and driving all aspects of the workstation business across the UK&I. This includes sales through various channels such as Channel Partners, Alliance Partners, ISVs, and into SMB, Enterprise, Public Sector, and Global accounts. You will lead pre-sales teams and develop the overall strategy and vision for the business.

Workstations are critical to Lenovo’s future success and a key part of our solutions transformation. In this role, you will work closely with teams at EMEA and WW levels to achieve ambitious growth targets. You will contribute to the overall success of the business at the local level, collaborating with sales and functional leaders in the UK and Ireland. You will report to the UK and Ireland Country General Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage, lead, and develop workstation-dedicated pre-sales and sales teams.

  • Ensure employees understand how their work contributes to Lenovo’s strategy, market success, and organisational goals.

  • Lead by example, recognise outstanding contributions, set clear performance standards, provide straightforward feedback respectfully, and actively manage low contributors.

  • Foster teamwork and inclusion among all employees across locations.

  • Encourage employees to be innovative and support ideas that should be implemented.

  • Promote and drive the ‘One Lenovo’ ambition, working collaboratively with all Lenovo product groups and teams.

  • Full profit and loss responsibility for the entire workstation business for Lenovo in the UK and Ireland.

  • Manage short-term: current quarter sales, forecasting, and planning process.

  • Build and execute a long-term strategy and vision. Understanding of key verticals for workstation business.

  • Drive strong partnerships with ISVs, developers, associated alliance partners, and corporate resellers to ensure end-to-end ownership across market segments.

  • Devise and execute tactical marketing programmes applicable to workstations.

  • Develop strategies for profit and pricing proposals, and understand industry trends and critical success factors.

  • Align with strategic software partners and industry bodies.

  • Drive increases in revenue, margin, market share, average unit revenue, and associated visuals, advanced services, software, etc.

  • 10 years of sales/technical experience in the hardware or software market.

  • Experienced and inspiring people manager

  • Proven sales success at the leadership level combined with a passion for the customer and products that deliver unique value.
