Copper Country Intermediate School District Special Education Coach (summers off) in Hancock, Michigan
The Copper Country Intermediate School District is hiring a dedicated Special Education Coach in Hancock, Michigan.
In this role, you'll provide daily support to our incredible staff and amazing students, helping to streamline school operations and processes. You'll ensure high-quality student evaluations, create effective individual education plans, and facilitate smooth transition planning.
Your expertise will be invaluable in assisting teachers with lesson planning and implementing targeted interventions to enhance instruction and student learning. You'll also support our team in behavior management by identifying effective strategies, collecting data, and implementing behavior plans.
Communication is key. We value positive, supportive, and trauma-competent interactions with co-workers, administration, students, and parents.

- $49,900 -- $66,300 annual starting salary based on education and experience.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR.
- Bachelor's degree and Michigan teaching certificate required.
- Michigan Special Education Approval, or endorsement in at least one area of special education required.
- 3 years' experience in special education with an understanding of the unique needs of students with disabilities preferred.
- A calm, confident approach that embodies clear communication skills.
- Professionalism that inspires, teaches, and motivates students, staff and families.
- Excellent time management, organization, and communication skills.
- A desire to continually increase your knowledge of teaching and an unrelenting ability to make positive change in the lives of students.
