Job Description Summary

The Quality Engineering Leader will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. Integrates and develops processes that meet business needs across the organization. This role contributes to the material quality and product quality management and continual improvement.

Job Description

Key responsibilities include:

  • The Quality Engineering leader demonstrates leadership in quality engineer and supplier quality engineer, communicating business goals, programs, and processes for GEHZ.

  • Plan, organize, implement and direct the application of assigned human and material resources to assure delivery of products and/or services that meets established requirements and fulfills customers’ needs and expectations.

  • Supplier Quality Assurance and Supplier Quality Development. Supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence.

  • Set team objectives and goals in line with business and drive execution, motivate QE/SQE to contribute the quality, schedule and profit objectives.

  • Establish a structured approach to drive consistency and adherence to quality procedures.

  • Deliver results as measured by key metrics, such as supplier yield, COF/COQ, NCR, supplier quality plan engagement/effectiveness, and corrective & preventative action closure.

  • Actively provide the support to production, disposition the non conformance product, communicate with DE for deviation out of GEHZ’s scope.

  • Provide technical skills and a broad range of quality expertise coach to team, engage the team member to improve the product quality.

  • Ensure products continuously comply with GE’s quality, performance, reliability, as well as relevant safety and regulatory requirements worldwide.

  • Implement and apply GEHZ quality systems throughout the product life cycle, required to deliver the right product to our customers.

  • Drive the implementation and accuracy of Quality Metric and implement preventive measures in upstream product development activities.

  • Plan and supervise product benchmark testing for establishing product specifications and performance achievement criteria.

  • Develop best-in-class processes and systems, and drive continual improvement.

  • Assure that unit activities comply with all applicable government regulations and contract requirements.

  • Assure audit of areas of responsibility for conformance to quality plans, systems, and requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least 3 years of experience in quality management and or related quality area

  • Familiar with ISO 9001, QMS, audit and surveillance process

  • Working knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, PQP, etc)

  • Additional leadership experience in the areas of Operations, Manufacturing, or Quality

  • Executive level presentation skills

  • Passion for excellence with high integrity, commitment to quality and is willing to travel

  • Strong oral and written communication skills in both English and Chinese

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Ability to cope with multiple complex situations daily and open to work with cross function
