Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Applications Developer 2 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

Reference #: 4650170 THE POSITION As a $2.5B retailer operating over 600 Fine Wine and Good Spirits retail locations, as well as several wholesale locations, the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is seeking an ambitious information technology (IT) professional to assist with our highly advanced technical work in the support, development, and maintenance of the PLCB's Oracle Merchandise Foundation Cloud Services (MFCS), Cloud Financials (CFIN), and Store Inventory Management (SIM).  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of financial systems, general ledger accounts, financial postings, and month end and year end accounting processes.  Bring your talents to the Commonwealth and start your career as an Applications Developer 2!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As an Applications Developer 2, you will provide highly advanced technical work in the analysis, design, planning, development, testing, maintenance, and documentation of significant components of the PLCB's enterprise resource planning system, MFCS and CFIN.  Planning and coordination efforts will involve interaction with other project team staff, as well as the PLCB POS team, Chief of Financial Operations, Office of the Budget Comptroller Operations, the Treasury Department, and financial institutions with whom the PLCB does funds management.

You will be responsible for establishing and prioritizing work assignments, and implementing controls and procedures to ensure responsibilities, goals, and objectives are performed in the most efficient, effective, and economic manner.  Work involves analyzing business requirements, developing and validating detailed functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, extensions and workflow (RICEW) objects, monitoring daily scheduled interfaces to and from application systems, and developing and executing unit, integration, and user acceptance test scripts.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time, with the exception of reporting to the Northwest Office Building on the day before board meetings once every two to three weeks, and as operational needs dictate.  In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.  If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Applications Developer 1 or Computer Programmer 3; or Four years of information technology experience that includes two years of experience in applications development or applications maintenance;or Two years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or A bachelor's degree in any information technology field. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements: This particular position also requires you to possess two or more years of combined full-time information technology experience supporting at least one of the major Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) applications listed below: Oracle Cloud Financial (CFIN) Systems Applications and Products (Oracle) Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Oracle PeopleSoft Enterprise Resource Planning Systems Str ctured Query Language (SQL) Systems Note: Any combination of experience equaling two years in the applications listed above is acceptable.
