Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Business Analyst 1 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania

The Pennsylvania State Police is seeking a dependable and highly motivated management professional to take on the role of Business Analyst. In this position, you will be managing a variety of datasets and administering the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) Certification Program. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Business Analyst 1, you will investigate all technical issues relating to the Pennsylvania Uniform Crime Reporting System (PAUCRS). A key part of your role will involve analyzing, testing, and assisting in the implementation of new or changed data elements, data values, and data collections. You will develop a thorough understanding of the technical specifications for a variety of data collections, such as the Summary Reporting System. Utilizing your strong communication skills, you will resolve help desk issues and liaise with PAUCRS system vendors. Additionally, you will be responsible for administering the NIBRS Certification Program, which requires coordination with participants and documentation of the certification process. You will provide test cases to interested participants and audit files for accuracy and completion.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $50,836.00 (before taxes). Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A bachelor's degree; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

You must be able to obtain and maintain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job. You must be able to perform essential job functions.
