Tri-County OIC Career Planner/Case Manager - Reentry Program in HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania
Tri-County OIC is looking to hire a re-entry case manager for the Youth/ Adult Reentry Programs. The case manager will be responsible for providing wraparound services to help currently and formerly incarcerated individuals to facilitate their re-entry and to address barriers that impact their chances of returning to prison. The ideal candidate must have a background in criminal justice or probation and parole with 3-5 years of experience in case management or a bachelor's degree in Social Work or a similar field. At least one year of experience working in human services, corrections, or community-based services is required.
The candidate must be familiar with the community's workforce needs, public and private agencies, and employment services. They should also possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple programs running within the facility. The candidate should be proficient in writing clear and concise reports in English, using correct grammar. They must also possess basic mathematical skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and calculating percentages.
The ideal candidate should be able to react quickly and appropriately in an emergency situation. They should also be comfortable working with computers and using the necessary software typically used by the department. Require traveling to local and state prison and working within the confines of a secure facility and in close contact with residents thereof.
