The Department of State is seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to join our team of professionals within the Division of the State Boards of Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine, and Podiatry. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this role, you will be required to have exceptional communication skills as you will be answering telephone calls from the general public, applicants, and licensees and assisting them with inquiries on licensure. You will be responsible for providing assistance with submitting applications and renewing licenses through the online Pennsylvania Licensing System (PALS). It is essential to provide concise and accurate information throughout daily operations. You will have the opportunity to evaluate various applications for multiple types of licensures while ensuring completeness and compliance with the Boards' laws and regulations. You will be expected to stay up to date on the laws, rules, and regulations, as you will be researching information, and using independent judgment to determine licensure qualifications and eligibility.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (negotiable), Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time (up to 50%). In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
