Let your clerical knowledge shine and join our team at the Division of Third Party Liability (TPL)! TPL is responsible for aiding the process of personal injury claims. We are looking for an organized Clerical Assistant 3 to perform various duties and services to support the entire division. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for screening the requests sent to the division. Your duties will include researching, analyzing, and evaluating information on various databases to independently determine whether a case needs to be opened according to state and federal regulations. In this position, you will correspond with attorneys, recipients, insurance companies, and other outside agencies, both in writing and verbally, to obtain additional information and respond to case inquiries. You can expect to compile complex client data to the agents and investigators for their use in negotiating final settlement of a claim. Additionally, you will gather, research, and distribute all incoming faxes, mail, and other documents to the relevant agent, investigator, supervisor or director.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Free Parking!

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience;or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
