Spring Creek Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is currently growing and looking for a Full Time Day 7am-3pm Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager Monday-Friday to join our developed nursing team! The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager oversees the care, systems and processes that deliver the resident care. Come join our growing team! Requirements of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager:
Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in this state
Two (2) years of experience preferred as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care Facility. Must have, as a minimum of six (6) months experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to nursing care facilities
Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc., that are necessary for providing quality care.
Must successfully complete a post offer, pre-employment criminal background check and physical / drug screen.
Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Unit Manager:
Supervises nursing care provided by nursing assistants, licensed vocational/practical nurses and others for whom they are administratively or professionally responsible.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizational policies and applicable laws.
Interviews, recommends hires and trains employees.
Plans, assigns and directs work.
PCC, Point Click Care knowledge
Demonstrates the knowledge and clinical expertise required to effectively supervise all nursing activities in the facility or the units to which assigned.
Reviews and implements all nursing procedures and systems relative to the unit(s).
Promotes and protects resident's rights; assists residents to make informed decisions; treats Residents with dignity and respect.
